Syphilis incidence in the US has increased by nearly 80 per cent in five years

Another CDC study shows that the increase in congenital syphilis cases among Americans over five years was 183.4 percent. In 2022, 3,700 more cases were detected compared to the previous year (a year-over-year increase of 30.6 percent).

Earlier, the Ministry of Health recorded an increase in the incidence of syphilis in Russia. Nikolai Potekaev, chief freelance specialist in dermatovenerology and cosmetology at the ministry, attributed this to the return of migrants to the country.
