In late November, the man developed symptoms of disorientation, headache, dizziness, myalgia and fever. He was hospitalised and placed on ventilator support for 12 days. The patient has now been discharged and doctors continue to monitor his condition.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health of Romania declared a nationwide measles epidemic after the detection of two thousand cases of infection. In this regard, the Ministry promised to ensure the possibility of vaccination of children aged nine to eleven months (usually vaccination is done at one year of age).
